TEMPEH 395 g – TEMPEHTHING (FROZEN)
Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian fermented product, made from whole, cooked soybeans that are bound together by a fungal culture (Rhizopus oligosporus mold) into a firm, white block. It is one of the healthiest sources of plant-based protein, valued for its high fiber (6.8 g/100 g) and protein content (18.8 g/100 g). Tempeh from Tempehthing, prepared with cooked soybeans and rice flour, is frozen, ensuring its freshness and readiness for use as a vegan and gluten-free base for many dishes.

Tempeh is a staple of Indonesian cuisine, originating from Java. Unlike tofu, which is made from soy milk, tempeh is made from whole soybeans. The fermentation process not only binds the grains into a compact form but also increases the digestibility of soy protein and produces unique vitamins (including B12) and nutrients. As a result, tempeh is a source of complete, high-quality protein (18.8 g/100 g) and fiber (6.8 g/100 g).
Tempehthing is a brand focused on delivering authentic and high-quality tempeh. The frozen block has a neutral flavour, with a slightly nutty and mushroomy note, making it excellent for absorbing marinades. It can be sliced, diced, or crumbled and used as a meat substitute in dishes such as curries, stir-fries, grilled skewers (Satay), or as crispy additions to salads. After a brief soak in a marinade (e.g., based on soy sauce, ginger, and garlic), it just needs to be fried, baked, or steamed. Freezing tempeh does not affect its quality and facilitates the quick preparation of a healthy, wholesome meal.
